What made it so interesting was that we got to meet and talk to an elderly gentleman whose family was uprooted. He had no bitterness but simply said that it was just one of those things that happens in life. It was pretty special to get to meet a survivor of that time.
Other than that, the museum was rather boring.
The only things of interest to me were...
Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones costume from
“Raiders of the Lost Ark”
(Although I have never seen any of the
Indiana Jones movies,
I found the outfit intriguing because I love adventure)...
This California Highway Patrol uniform
(only because it is so old, and you know how I like old things)...
And the diner display at the top of this post.
Oh, and one item in the gift shop caught my eye.
Alcohol flasks keyrings! Really?
Drinking and driving?
Is it even legal to have even a 1 oz. open container of alcohol in your vehicle?
If not, why is the state of California
(or the city...I don't know officially whose project it is)
selling these things?
